This was our final trial of the season and what a day we had! Despite the weather conditions being incredibly wet with some gusty winds we were delighted to be able to announce a full set of awards. We would like to thank our Host, Judges, Guns (Mark & Neil Spearing, Nigel Turner & Ray Davies), Chief Steward (Sue Wagstaff), Red Flag (Kate Parker), Picking Up Handler (Julia Griffiths with Teyha) and our magnificently laden Game Carriers (Victoria Perkins & Nigel Samson).
We cannot end the season without also thanking Skinners for their continued sponsorship of our events and also Jess at Test Valley Lanyards for the very generous donation of lanyard vouchers, certificates and rosettes for the winner of each of our trials this season, such a kind gesture. Thank you also to all of our marvellous helpers without whom these days just wouldn’t be the same, every member of the HPR sub-committee for their help in putting together these events and last, but by no means least, to all of our lovely members and competitors who have supported the BWWGS over the last year. We look forward to welcoming you back in the coming 2024/25 season!

Another great day at this fabulous, varied ground. We were blessed with good sunshine, blue skies and a light wind. The rain thankfully held off until after the presentation of awards. The day commenced with a minute’s silence out of respect for Mark Taylor who had been a friend and member of the Society for many years and a dedicated ambassador for the Korthals Griffon breed.
This was new ground for us this year which consisted of a mix of stubble fields, hedgerows, cover strips, plantation and open woodland. The weather was mild with a slight wind however, we had light rain to contend with for most of the day. What was lovely to see was the variety of HPR breeds entered.
