We continue to use Mailchimp to circulate important notifications to to our members including training days, working tests, field trials etc. If you are not receiving these notifications it may be that you opted out when you became a member or your contact details have changed & has not been updated with us.
Given that membership renewals are due on the 1st march annually we ask that if you haven't updated your details recently to contact the membership secretary to ensure that the main membership database remains current.
AGMs:
In accordance with club rules:
Notice of the AGM must be forwarded to every member not less than 21 days prior to the meeting.
The officers and two other committee members retire annually but with their agreement are eligible for re-election.
Vacant position: Membership Secretary
Nominations for the committee duly proposed and seconded and with written consent of the nominee to stand, must be received by the Hon. Secretary not later than 14 days prior to the meeting.
A copy of the annual statement of accounts for the last financial year is available, on request to the Secretary, 14 days prior to the AGM.
Any items you wish to be added to the Agenda must be submitted in writing to the
Hon.Secretary not less than 14 days prior to the meeting.
No other business may be discussed.
Membership subscriptions were due on the 1st of March, some members have underpaid or not paid. Only fully paid up members have a vote at the AGM.

The Committee is proposing the following changes to the Society rules:

Rule No.4 – Membership
Rule No.6 – Subscriptions
Rule No.8 – Society Accounts
The Committee is proposing the following changes to the Society rules:
Rule No.3 – Management of the Society
- Addition of a new sentence to define the role of the management committee.
- Adding clarity to who on the committee has voting rights, who has the casting vote and that where one person holds more than one office, that person shall have one vote only.
- Adding clarity around the frequency of and attendance at committee meetings.
- Addition of the fact that committee meetings may be held virtually.
Rule No.4 – Membership
- Removal of the requirement for membership applications to be proposed and seconded with clarity around how applications will be approved or refused.
Rule No.6 – Subscriptions
- Adding detail around the types of memberships available.
Rule No.8 – Society Accounts
- Additional clarity around the purpose of the four bank accounts of the Society and how and by whom they are managed with the addition of withdrawal limits.
- Record keeping around expense claims.
- Additional detail around how and by whom the Field Trial Secretaries’ accounts are managed with the addition of withdrawal limits.
- Clarity around how funds in the main account are to be used with the addition of an initial capital expenditure limit.
- Certified accounts to be presented for approval by the committee prior to the presentation of the annual statement of accounts at the AGM.
